When the phone rings, she sill jumps hoping t will be him
She waits for the phone call that will never come
Just to hear his voice, once more
She closes her eyes and imagines his soft lips touching the receiver
She can still feel what loving him did to her
It made her feel alive, he was the fuel that kept her going
When he loved her, she was happy, he was her world
Why did he come into her world, give her this beautiful feeling
If he knew that he would take it away?
Did he want to brake her, steal like an evil villain
The light, the fragile piece of hope that lay within her
He knew that her heart had been made of gold, it called out to him
Like a greedy collector he longed to posses it
He swept in like a Greek god, and romanced her with his eyes and promises
When he had her in his grasp, when she had surrendered herself to his will
He tore out her soul, and left her there in tears to die alone
She looked up at the stars , as the last few breaths escaped her cold dying body
She whispered into the wind
"Take me with you, don't let me die alone"
So another star was born, her heart was shattered, and her soul was lost
But she would never be alone

by Lou Ruggieri
I see shards of what I could have been
Strewn across the bedroom floor

I screamed to you to save it,
smashed as you slammed
He treated her like his prize ornament
And placed her on a shelf
Although she was his loving wife
She was never allowed to

Have you ever called to death?
A silent wail within your soul
A comparison to life's unfairness
A curse not felt by all
I was
by Shari Mead
Shattered on the ground
A little girls treasured doll
Smashed beyond repair, just left laying there
Her tears are real as she
