FOR MY MUM IN HEAVEN
Dear lord take a flower
please pass it to my mum
tell her i miss and love her
and that I'm feeling glum,
please wish her Happy Birthday
from her daughter down below
and place a kiss upon her cheek
my love for it to show.
Please tell her that im sorry
that we never got to spend
more time as Mum and Daughter
and i was not there at the end,
please let her know for me lord
that i hold her deep inside
and because she is my Mum
i hold so much pride,
please tell her that I'm grateful
for giving me the chance
to live a life so full of love
a very merry dance
please tell her that i met someone
I'm going to marry one day
tell her he makes me happy
that he swept my heart away
tell her her daughters fine now
she can smile because she wrote
she's smiling feeling better
because she wrote this birthday note
please tell her never to forget
she will always be in my heart,
i loved her from the day i was born
right from the very start,
I'll love her till the day i die
till we finally meet again,
tell her cant wait to see her
but that i'll wait till then
tell her that I'm going now
but these words will stay right here
for her to read in heaven
when she sheds a silent tear.
xx-xxx

I can't believe I'm finally old,
It happened awfully fast

The first time I cradled you, in my arms,
The moon shone bright, cheered on by the stars.
The blossom scattered wide and
In the passing of time I came to know
That birthdays come and go
At year five thought and reason came alive
Nearing eight
