Sweet bitterness of strolling years.
They seem to dance in mid-air.
You look back and remember the days when you wished it was another day.
Another day did come and go.
As a child, it never seemed so.
As an adult, you wish it would be a bit slower.
An hour was an eternity; let alone a day, week, month, or year.
As the years go by, I wonder if this is how it's meant to be?
Changes come with every new dawn.
And rest with the evening sun.
As the years go by, you learn to forgive.
Those moments made you who you are.
Some are sweet.
Some are bitter.
Some you'd rather forget.
But, as the years go by, we discover more of ourselves than we ever thought possible.
How do I know I've grown?
How do I know I've matured?
I don't.
As the years strolled by, I learned to dust off my knees and get back up.
All of those years were important as well as the many more yet to come.
