Poetry: The fight

by Evelina Robinson

Created on: May 30, 2011

Who said that words never hurt?

Words linger on in your mind

Words can start wars that will never end

Words are like flaming arrows that can pierce your soul

You think after the fight is over, then it is forgotten

I am hear to proclaim this may not happen

A wound can heal, it may take time but it will heal

But when you fight with words it's a different story

If something rises up in you when you think about the fight

It feels like you want to go another round

Watch out the fight has started again
