Poetry: Disappointment

by Gavin Tice

Created on: May 30, 2011

A swollen belly. Empty bank account. Foreclosure has been my last attempt. Love lost among my youth. A mere mortal in the path of Gods, I tread in their wake, Trembling. It seems dependence is far from here, I should say lack of resources has kept me in, My bitters. Broken coffee cups and twice lit matches, Rolled cigarettes, table full of scratches. Bought and sold, like so many. This is my river, this is misery.
