She lies down and starts to fade away
She dreams of sorrow and all the pains of yesterday
Time has never been so untrue to her
Yet, she's tired of all the pain that love has put her through
Memories start to invade her thoughts
She never wished for all this, somehow through life, their love got lost
The tears over flow into the cascade of another never-ending dream
She never realized what she had this time; she didn't know what true love means
He took her for granted; he knew this when he let her go
She never understood why he did what he did, she never let her true feelings show
Never to show him exactly what she hoped for or how much she loved him
Until it was to late to know what to do, true love sometimes never wins
She sat at the side of her bed, gun in hand, she just has had enough
His picture on her night stand of happier times, somehow got all mixed up
She just holds close the way she only knew him to be
Of better days when their love flowed like the endless sea
Memories fill her head; she just glared at the ammo in hand
"What's the use?" she thought to herself, he never would understand
That all she ever did was love him. Didn’t seem to be enough
So she just stares at the picture that seemed to fade away into oblivion
The silver shone brightly, the glare torched her site
He knew what he did, that she could not deny
He put her through so much hell; this is not how love was supposed to be
That when he said that he loved her, it was for time and all eternity
But, something’s must come to pass, as the love vanishes into thin air
He knew he messed up, and she knew he never really cared
Her tears filled her site; she saw the silver lining of the fortress
With every ounce of her being, his love she would never forget
As she gathered her things, her journey would not be long
For she knew what she had to do, to prove that he was wrong
She raised her death, to the side of her face
Her love for him was real, and his was just a mistake
As she gazed upon the open grave that laid upon her feet
She knew what she must do, a task she could not defeat
As she closed her eyes, she pulled her life apart
As she lay motionless, she loved him with all her heart
Her breathing starts to fade away, as the sands wash away from the shore
Her journey was not long and filled with so much sorrow
As her breath was next to the last, she looked past her soul
"I will love you forever", she said...I just wanted you to know...

They say eyes are windows to the soul
If that's true, yours must be stain-glassed
Becaus e I never could see in.
They say soft
It's the words we say
And those we don't
That bring us to this point
Disappointed and brokenhearted
You did, I gave that's how

Nothing hurts me more
Then to see you in such pain
I wish I could take it away
But the way I feel for you will never change
I

We shared our homes each night
I cooked supper and you washed dishes

Love, hope, bittersweet.
Dead, still, utterly weak.
I try not to think about
the way I heard you shout.
