Best ways to avoid getting stressed

Life is tough as it is full of challenges. While meeting these challenges we face stress. Birth is a stress, so is the growth and after that it is stress and stress. Stress is mainly due to lack of adjustability.

Life means suffering and how one takes it depends upon the habits he has cultivated right from his childhood. Stress is mainly due to lack of adjustability. Life has to be regulated through good habits.

Getting up early in the morning going for a brisk walk relieves much of the stress. Later it is desirable to sit and practise breathing. This is known as pranayam. Closing one of the nostrils and breathing through the open nostril and then repeating it through the other nostril, inhaling and exhaling. This is a very healthy exercise and one can avoid needless tension.

Drinking a glass of lime juice on an empty stomach with a pinch of salt in a glass full of water keeps the body cool and helps to lessen the stress. Unnecessary Needless argumentation generates heat and sometimes palpitation.

Such tensions can be easily avoided. . Over work sleeping late at nights and getting up late are some of the habits that would cause stress. This makes you hurry up to keep timings and adjusting oneself to changed situations brings lot of stress.  There is a saying: hurry worry and curry bring a lot tension. Hurry is doing things in a hurry, worry is worrying for everything and curry is eating too much spicy food cause hypertension.

Yoga is one of the therapies recommended to reduce stress. Indulging in avoiding quarrels may cause stress and when there is a provocation, either to run away from the place or drink a glass of water. This will reduce the emotional levels.

Gambling like horse racing, bookies and betting bring again a lot of tension because of financial implications. But one can keep away from such things because they should cultivate a sense of awareness and behave in a particular pattern to ease and relax in situations that will cause anxiety.

Working on the computer all the time may cause stress. Computer involves lot of waiting for things to happen. Sometimes it gets delayed and unexpected things may happen. During such times, drinking a glass of water and slow walk in the corridors or along the verandah may relieve much of the stress.

An indoor game like snooker, pool or playing on the carom board will relieve much of anxious of moments. Stretching exercises like going yoga asanas will give lot of relief. Just lying flat on the floor will give comfort. This is the corpse pose. This asanan is prescribed for those suffering from high blood pressure.
