1) Dye things green. Use food coloring to turn surprising things this marvelous shade. Milk, juice, oatmeal, yogurt, a bath, yourself (if you're not careful)... once you start, the only question is CAN YOU STOP?
2) Go to a park and search for a four-leaf clover (hint: there's one for every 10,000 regular 3-leaf clovers, so you might want to bring a book. This could easily take all day)
3) Have a green hunt. Go through the house searching for everything that is green. Take along the digital camera to document what you find, and then watch the slide show while singing "Cockles and Mussles" or other rousing Irish tune.
4) Download Irish folk music, turn it up, and dance wildly through the house. Fun add-on: make up named dances like "The Leprechaun," "The 4-leaf clover," "Hands off my pot o' gold," and "The Green Machine." Try this site for mp3s, with lots of free tracks!
5) Play "catch the leprechaun." You (the parent) are the catcher. The child is the leprechaun. If you have multiple children, the role of the leprechaun could rotate, like tag, or all the kids can be leprechauns. The catcher chases the leprechaun and tries to catch him. This could also involve hiding. When the catcher catches the leprechaun, they get "gold" (kisses and/or hugs). And then the roles reverse.
