COLD AWAKENING
Stormy night,
the edge of madness
creeping icily into my soul.
What brought me to this?
A steely grey fortitude, since the day
my heart was shattered forth
into a barren wasteland of frost and howling wind.
No man dare brave a tundra such as this,
which is why I remain safe and secure,
tho the land may savage me .
Blessed bitterness,
how I love your dangerous embrace.
Place your cold kiss upon my weakened flesh,
and drown me in your frigid river of despair.
The ice caverns are my new haven,
Biting winds,my saving grace.
I behold my mournful reflection in an icicle.
I am home.
