If I were to say something to the child I was, I would say:
Hang in there, because childhood won’t last long;
You’ll be grown, independent, and happy before you know it;
Childhood and adolescence is a tough period for everyone;
Your parents are doing what they can and what they know is best;
Try hard in school, because it’s important, and you only have one chance at it;
Be smart with your decisions and keep yourself safe;
Don’t let your family make you angry; instead be calm and speak wisely;
Appreciate the life you have, because life doesn’t last forever;
Love your parents as best as you can and they will return the love;
Never forget the good times and try to let go of the bad times;
Have fun and enjoy where you live because you may miss it someday;
Remember that you always want what you don’t have, so instead feel grateful;
Appearance isn't very important in life, but being a good person is;
Do what you know and what you do best, and strengthen it, because it’ll help you in the future;
Hang in there, because childhood won’t last very long.

Spend the day getting dirty.
Play all day in the sun.
Make mud pies and serve up plenty,
come in and play in the tub.
After
"Always in her heart"
A concrete playground full of broken glass
A lovelorn child of days gone past
Together for one moment
