The miracles of Jesus

The miracles of Christ express the very nature of God and God's absolute availability to those who believe. Each miracle reflected love, kindness, mercy, compassion, and grace; all which came directly from God.  Jesus lived a life of compassion and perfection; willing to share His knowledge of the Kingdom that was waiting for anyone willing to accept Him as the Son of God.  Each miracle was designed to teach, heal, lead us to true faith and most importantly, to show His connection and relationship to God the Father. Without the miracles, faith could not grow.

God himself performed many miracles in the Old Testament beginning with the flood, Noah and the Ark that housed 2 of every living creature on the planet! When Moses lead Gods people out of Egypt; He parted the Red Sea, He turned the dust of the desert into a fresh water flowing stream by the strike of a rod against a stone just so the people would have fresh water to drink.  When there was no food, God rained manna down from heaven daily and provided fresh quail for their meat every evening. He sweetened the waters of Marah, brought on a “strange fire” that consumed Nadab and Abihu, and made Balaam’s donkey speak to him.  These are just a few examples of the countless miracles that God performed as he tried to show His great power, love and mercy to the people that He loved so very much. All He ever asked from anyone was to believe, yet even after the many miracles, some still refused to trust in Him without doubt.

As we enter into the Gospels, God carries on His love for mankind by giving us His beautiful and ever present Son to save us from all the sins of the world and give us hope and a future if we chose to believe in Him.

Jesus carried on God the Fathers miracles yet he never offered miracles of money and/or status because those things are only important while you are here on earth. Jesus was a “soul-seeker”, a shepherd to the lost sheep, and a giver of eternal life to the ones who put their faith in Him. He taught us that money is not important if you have sold your soul to the devil out of greed or envy.  To build your treasure in heaven through faith and generosity; this was the important lesson that Jesus wanted us to learn.  Money and high status is not what you need to build a firm and strong faith and trust in God, the Creator of all things good.  The Lord has promised us that He will
