Poetry: Storms

by Annie Farfum

Created on: March 16, 2007   Last Updated: May 14, 2007

Bitter torn shreds of blue
cold tunnels swirl out of control
thrown aside in raging winds
fighting in my stormy soul

Cold hands grasp the slippery rail
and waters break across my back
hold fast the seas that lift and fall
nothing helps when dark sky's crack

My world is crashing all around me
beaten down the wind pushes hard
no sun, no stars, just angry blows
leaving me forever scared
