It is possible to earn $1,000 in one day. However, it'll take a whole lot of gumption, and you may end up working more than 12 hours that day. It may also be INCREDIBLY RISKY.
Here are my ideas for earning $1,000 in a day.
NOTARY PUBLIC IN CALIFORNIA
1. Become a Notary Public in California (Actually, a little bit hard.)
2. Make a shirt that says "NOTARY PUBLIC"
3. Get up in the morning at 6:00 AM on a busy day
4. Head over to City Hall
5. Walk around outside with your t-shirt and a sign that says "Notary Public, $10"
6. Notarize as many documents as you can.
Why?
At City Hall, people need their documents notarized. The fee per notarial act in California is $10. That means you only have to notarize 100 documents. (10 X 100 = 1000) In 8 hours, that's 12.5 notarial acts per hour. Not a bad way to make a quick dollar.
Most of the time, there'll be a HUGE LINE for the town employees who will notarize documents for free. California moves fast, people don't want to wait around in line, and probably be willing to pay for the convenience of having their documents stamped. BE SURE TO CHECK ABOUT THE LAWS REGARDING ADVERTISING YOUR SERVICE IN PUBLIC.
Of course, you'll have to pay the fees and bond to become a notary in California, but hey, I didn't say this was easy.
SUNSTONE HUNTER
1. Go to one of the fee-digging Sunstone mines in Oregon. Be nice and courteous.
2. Ask them if you can go digging for sunstones.
3. Go digging, get lucky and find a huge sunstone.
4. Pay a small fee for the larger stones you find.
5. Sell the sunstone to a gem-cutter or on the open market.
Don't know what a sunstone is? Look it up on google. With a little luck, you can find gems worth several thousand dollars. When you calculate the expenditures on travel, fees, and selling time, you can EASILY calculate it to $1,000 earned in one day. Just get lucky. :)
CRATER OF DIAMONDS STATE PARK
1. Travel to Murfesboro, Arkansas.
2. Visit the Crater of Diamonds State Park
3. Find a large diamond. (You are allowed to keep what you find, regardless of value.)
4. Take the diamond home.
It is possible to find a LARGE DIAMOND FOR FREE here. That's the rule of the park. However, it's extremely unlikely that you'll find a diamond of large value. You'll have a great time, however.
WRITE AN ARTICLE THAT BECOMES AN OVERNIGHT DIGG SUCCESS
1. Write an incredible news story on your personal blog (with adsense.)
2. Post it somewhere.
3. Since you just wrote an awesome story, it will receive millions of hits.
4. As a result, you receive thousands in ad-revenue.
This might be a difficult thing to do. I suggest finding a news scoop. You need a political scandal, or something EARTH-shattering. LIFE ON MARS FOUND BY NASA would be an example of an earth-shattering story. $1,000 of ad-revenue means roughly one-hundred thousand page hits.
I'll update this article soon, if you have any other ideas for this; let me know, we can work something out.
