The Pros and Con of Formal Ballet Training for Youngsters.
Many young children take dance beginning at the age of three. My mother was a dancer and wanted me to start dance at the same age. My experience as a child was simply a delight. In todays world it is up to the parents to explore all avenues of sports, etc. Ballet as a youngster can be a wonderful experience depending on the teacher and studio. Some studios are very good at showing the real world of dance as a child, but then there are others that expect too much out of children.
I am a dance teacher by trade and I see everyone coming to and saying thanks for everything you do for me and my child. So as you can see it is up to the parents to research ballet studios as well as teachers. There are a few good dance teachers but you need to look long and hard. Its like choosing the right day care.
