A baby's first birthday is quite a milestone. You want to get a fitting present for this amazing time. There are many ideas that the baby may enjoy.

CD with the baby's name

Many babies of this age respond to their own names. They may enjoy a music CD that has their name embedded on it. They make many such personalized CDs. You can get one with the Sesame Street characters, Mickey Mouse, or the Disney Princesses.

Books

A lot of babies love to have books read to them, even at such a young age. You can get one or several books. You can choose the classics such as Winnie the Pooh or Dr. Seuss or go for the hottest new titles. These can provide many hours of fun for the baby.

Activity

This classic toy has been loved by children for generations. They still make the classic version, or you can buy a more updated version. Babies tend to giggle hysterically every time that little head pops up.

Even young babies like to look at pictures. You can buy a photo album that is specifically made for little hands. Alternatively you can buy him or her a regular photo album and fill it with pictures from his or her first year. It may be something that they can keep forever.

Scrapbook

A scrapbook is another great keepsake for a baby. Fill it with special mementoes from his or her first year. He or she will always have it.
