Too Faced Cosmetics began in 1997 and is taking the make-up world by a storm. They offer fun, pretty containers for their quality products at reasonable prices. Their motto, “Why be pretty when you can be glamorous” just speaks volumes about their whole approach to make-up.
I have tried quite a few of their products and liked most of them, but the one that absolutely blew me away and the one I love the most is the Too Faced Naked Eye Soft & Sexy Eye Shadow Collection. This cannot do without collection comes in a pink box with the ever present tassels all around and a woman’s beautifully made up eye on top. When you open your box you will find nine lovely shade of eye shadow just waiting for you to try them on.
Jarrod has included in the box, instructions on how to get a Day look, a Classic look, and a Fashion look using his shadow collection. I have tried all three and have to admit that by following the idiot proof instructions, I couldn’t mess it up, and all three looks were great.
The Day look includes the colors called: In the Buff, Pillow Talk, and Like A Virgin. They actually are a light buff, a very light brown and a darker brown.
The Classic look includes: Birthday Suit, (a warm brown) Satin Sheets, (shimmery pink) and Unmentionables, (a dark brown).
The Fashion look has Pink Cheeks, (obviously, a very light pink) Lap Dance, (a shimmery cocoa), and Stiletto, (black).
All the colors have a very light shimmer to them, but it is nothing that a mature woman like me would not feel uncomfortable wearing. And the colors last and last. I really love that about this product. Even without using the eye shadow primer, they really last all day. If one does use the primer, you can literally wake up looking as good as when you went to bed with these shadows. (Not that I recommend that, but it does happen).
The price for this collection is $35.00, but you have to remember, you are getting nine eye shadow colors for this price. It also comes with a small sponge applicator that also has a small, stiff brush at the other end. I use my own eye shadow brushes to apply the product, and then use the sponge and little stiff brush to use the darker shades as eye liner and smudge that a bit to achieve the look I want. Even on my lower lids, the shadow stays put when used as a liner.
Honestly, I love this collection so much; I am going to give it a five out of five star rating. It just lives up to everything they say it does and my eyes have never looked better. Too Faced Cosmetics has really found a new convert in me.
