I thought that you loved me, deep in your heart
I thought we were happy, but you seem apart
The lies that you tell me, the nights you stay gone
I feel so unwanted, so sad, so alone
You once brought me flowers, a smile and a kiss
Those sweet cherished moments, how often I miss
You tell me stories, I look in your eyes
And all I can see are the bold faced lies
I was alone, you say, turning from me,
But I see the truth and it hurts terribly
You brag to your friends what a man wants he gets,
How you are so smooth, how you'll win the bets
That the new girl who's single will give you her trust
So you secretly meet her and give in to your lust
Now listen carefully to what I have to say
For one day you'll be the one by the way
Believing in someone you care so much for
Who tells you, unkindly, I love you no more.
Then you'll know the pain that I feel now
And I will get over you, somehow
Perhaps you'll remember what you did to me
And realize then that the truth sets you free.

Poetry: My broken heart
by Iris Flower
It is torn, crooked, and twisted.
It hangs to one side open to more punishment.
It does not beat a normal rhythm,
my broken
Shall we set our minds a drift
Sitting soundly we humbly shift
Casting chasms rift by rift
Thoughts like icing sugar slowly
by Sondra Falck
Merciful Cruelty
Don’t spare my feelings.
Crush them.
Don’t soften the words.
Make them razors.
Make me bleed.
I lost the strength to fight
And given into the darkness
Tears flow day and night
Through despair and loneliness
My heart lay
by Binish Umair
I try to play a sweet,
music of life.
But broken strings of my guitar,
hurt me, it’s painful.
My fingers bleed,
yes!
