For skiing enthusiasts, spring break may be the last chance to get some turns in before retiring your equipment for the summer.  Nothing can beat a fantastic bluebird spring day on the slopes skiing in a t-shirt and soaking up the sunshine.  There are also a ton of great spring skiing destinations for you to choose from.

Mammoth Mountain, California - Located in the Sierra Nevada mountains, Mammoth often boasts the most snow come spring break.  Because of their high snowfall totals, Mammoth also tends to have much more open. Take advantage of the results of a harsh winter; Mammoth Mountain during spring means mild California temperatures and plenty of sunshine.

Summit County, Colorado - You can't overlook the Rockies.  Rocky mountain sunshine and scenery is one of a kind, and Summit County is at the heart of more than five world-renowned resorts.  Choose from Copper Mountain, Keystone, Vail or Breckenridge just to name a few.  Colorado also sees plenty of snowfall, so with all of the resorts you can visit imagine how much riding you can do!

Southern California - Southern California's two more popular resorts, Bear Mountain and Mountain High, may not have as much snow or accessible terrain, but if you like to ski, don't write them off so quickly.  These two resorts not only specialize in state of the art pipes, jumps, rails and boxes, but hey, it's Southern California…they know how to party.

Lake Tahoe, California - A few hours up the road from Mammoth, Tahoe might be the most happening resort town in North America.  Several resorts are located in the area with plenty of snow and terrain, but the true attraction for Tahoe during spring break is the nightlife.  Tons of nightclubs, restaurants, and apres ski parties await.

The Northwest - Oregon, Washington and even as far north as Whistler Blackcomb in Vancouver get hammered all winter.  The wetter climates mean resorts like Mt. Hood in Oregon have an enormous base with tons of terrain open.  Spring is when the clouds start to lift and the Northwest sunshine reveals beautiful scenery and some of the best spring skiing to be had.

These five areas have some of the best spring break skiing the Northern Hemisphere has to offer.  Regardless of what you choose, it would be hard to go wrong if stick to this list. Happy skiing! Get it while you can because summer is coming fast.
