From experience children can do anything as long as they understand how much fun they can get out of it. With reverse psychology this is a very simple thing to do. Sports or exercises that can be done indoors and much enjoyable are very few. My favorite way of bringing children to exercise is to do some coordinated dances on their favorite songs. Often, I have realized that children can do any difficult move while dancing without complaining. The only thing that matters to them is to think that they are having a good time. When I use to have more than one child to mind for a whole day, dancing was always on the menu. Children are full of energy and all they want is to be able to release it. The most addicted to play station child will always love a time of body expression. The Dance Mat is another good thing, it can be used for competing and exercise at the same time. a child who is idle will not sit still if he sees the grown up enjoying himself on his play station. My nephew, who is 11, is very good in all kind of sports, but he can easily be persuaded to leave his play station for a dance mat competition. The 4 and 3 years old nephews love joining in even if they don't have the perfect move coordination yet. Another approach is to give them the Omega-3 supplement, the changes will be noticeable in less then 3 months. They will improve in all kind of ways. They will become more attentive in whatever thing they will do; their mental and physical aptitude will be on call at all time. Just this week 15/03/07, a UK based medical team has made known the result of a study completed on the effect of Omega-3 on children's behavior. The improvement found in children taking Omega-3 was very encouraging. The study showed that even people with dyslexia and similar conditions had improved. My nephew had been taking the supplement Omega-3 for nearly a year now, the boy has turned into a genius. He was always intelligent, but he used to only want to do his favorite subjects. Now he is always ready to taken on everything. Television programs on obesity often prompt my nephew to want to do more indoor exercise, try to watch them with your children and see how willing they will volunteer for it. Watch movies with true life stories of well performing sports individuals. These will teach them discipline, perseverance and endurance.
