Poetry: Just one look

by Evelina Robinson

Created on: April 14, 2011

Just one look into your eyes is all it took to know that you were upset

I could feel the hurt when you said to me," What were you thinking?"

Even though I knew going ahead with my plans would cause trouble

I thought maybe no one would notice

Or no one would care

I wanted to have an opportunity to explain

But the look you gave me made me feel ashamed

So I will have to endure the look of disappointment

Just one look is all it took
