Trumped
The Eagle sat in his
Ivory tower
Firing apprentices
Wielding power
Day after day
Hour after hour
At his side faithfully
His little chicks sat
Aware of the meaning
Of corporate brat
And exactly where
Nepotism was at
But daddy was restless
And totally bored
So, deciding to wander
Away he soared
To survey other ventures
Elsewhere he explored
Over a big White House
He excitedly flew
And in an instant
He finally knew
What it was
He wanted to do
The calling card
He decided to drop
Landed upon
The occupant’s top
Causing him to
Suddenly stop
And looking up
Into the sky
He saw the Eagle
Soaring by
And asked the question
I wonder why?
He called for security
S.W.A.T teams, the lot
Thinking it was
A terrorist plot
And believe it
Or not
That poor old eagle
They shot
