Walk Away
Little girl why do you stand there,
watching your life pass by?
Why are your eyes filled with tears,
what is it that is making you cry?
Is it the dirty, worn clothes you're wearing
filthy from lack of care;
that makes you sad inside?
Or is it because your daddy's gone.. somewhere.
Sweet little one with broken dreams,
why can't you move your feet?
It's not your fault,that your mama's a drunk
and your daddy's a deadbeat.
Do you think God
doesn't know that you exist?
Are you feeling like a lost child,
just like all the others on the 'milk-carton list'?
Darling child, don't you know,
God's got a silver lining coming on a nearby cloud?
Your not insignificant,
He'll recognize you in a crowd.
He's waiting with open arms,
and He'll give you a love so wide.
That you'll feel so deep,
see He's right by your side!
Dear heart, don't dwell on those memories,
that halt your step from moving on.
Walk away from the burning house,
the line of hope is blurred but not gone.
God will work through this tragedy,
and clear a way for you.
To find a love you've never known,
a promise you can hold on to.
See God doesn't leave
and God doesn't get drunk.
He doesn't beat on a wife.
He doesn't hurt you with bad memories,
and fill your little world with strife.
God cares and He won't walk away.
No matter what you do wrong,
Hold onto His hand, He's got a pretty firm grip,
God will never let you fall,
and He'll catch you if you slip!
Trust in His love, walk by His side.
Though the world that surrounds you is false,
God has never, ever lied!

A Love That Never Fails
There’s a love that never leaves me,
Though I turn and walk away.
While I run among the wicked,
If I lacked emotion and could, I'd walk away,
Leave explanations and penance for another day.
It'd be a day put off until
Loss of Innocence
i wear no clothes at the river,
returning to nature as a sad lover
touching earth skin to skin.
