Poetry: Personal growth

  learning life

i'm begining to understand sorrow
it plays it's part in life's collage of existence
it helps you to grow and learn to borrow
from the memories that were more pleasant

i'm learnin' to appreciate silence
in the dead of night i lay awake at times
when the loud noisy city takes it's rest
i can contemplate on my life

i've learned to believe in hope
above all my vanquished dreams
for upon someday i know
that i shall be free

i've learned so much about love
how it can never be crushed
how it decends from up above
and can not turn to rust

i've learnt so much of patience
how it'll help me in my struggle
how important it is in my quest
to find myself and reach my goal
