St. Patrick's Day is a day to celebrate St. Patrick who has been credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland. He has come to represent all things Irish and, as Americans, we associate this with drinking, cavorting, and making mischief. Your scrapbook page should reflect all this.
Start by enjoying St. Patrick's Day, camera in hand. Photograph your friends, your drinks, the parade if you attend one. Be sure to continue taking pictures throughout the day as you may need them later to remember the events.
Choose your favorite photos. These are usually the ones that came out the least blurry but don't discount those drunken photos. This is one of the few times they're acceptable.
Assemble a collection of green papers in different shades. I recommend hitting Walmart the day after St. Patrick's Day and shopping for cards and stickers with leprechauns and green beer pictured on them. These things will all go on sale.
Cut varying shades of green paper into rectangles slightly larger than two photos. Fold each in half and mount a photo to the outside of each card-like piece of paper. Use the inside for journaling. Tell the story of the photo, quote a friend you celebrated with, cite a toast, or just write something about St. Patrick and why we celebrate him.
Mount your photo journals to your scrapbook page.
Next, cut out the pictures from your store-bought cards and use them, along with the stickers, to form borders around your favorite photos.
Don't forget to title your scrapbook page and include the date, where you celebrated, and who you were with. In 2035 you may not remember these key details.
