They all told me this would happen A middle aged grunt worker Lost in the absent time Which is life Go to college they said Better yourself But for what What is better anyway I'm not hungry for your kind of meat I won't partake of your supper You can't win me over My apple is from another tree I will live in your world With your nose snubbed at me You can act better than me and maybe you are We don't know for now

I'm making papel picado banners from
the soggy labels of cut-rate cerveza.
Just for now.
Later, I'll go to the botanica
For now I'll laugh and in my dreams transmit,
Those negative emotions I am feeling,
Perhaps one day will see an end to it,
