“Know Jesus-know Heaven. No Jesus-no Heaven.”
King David wrote, in Psalm 63:1 (KJV)-“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.” The dry and thirsty land where no water is that King David referred to in this Psalm is this world. Jesus-God’s Son- is The Living Water that quenches our dry and thirsty souls. King David sought spiritual relief from God in a world devoid of His righteousness.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 (KJV)-“11-For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12-Then shall ye call upon me and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13-And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” The Lord wants us to seek and find Him. That is why He died for us on Calvary. He has a far, far better place for us than the world in which we now live.
There are many Earthly kingdoms-or countries. And in those many kingdoms are many cultures and tribes of people who speak many different languages, and bear skin of many different colors. It is not easy to enter one of those kingdoms or countries and become a part of it; accepted and loved for whom and what you are, and finding a new home there. Here on Earth, people are fragmented geographically, culturally and religiously. Borders of many kinds separate them from one another on this planet, and there is little-if anything-that can be done about it.
But there is a Kingdom above all Kingdoms to which you may truly belong forever. Where is this Kingdom, and why should you seek it out? It is not an Earthly Kingdom; it cannot be reached by auto, train, plane, ship or e-mail. It is the eternal Kingdom of God, otherwise known as Heaven, and there is only one way to reach it: you must reach it by faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God.
At the Last Supper, Simon Peter asked Jesus where He was going, that they could not follow. Jesus replied, in John, Chapter 14, 1-6 (KJV): “1-Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2-In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3-And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4-And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
