People are indeed inherently good. Why? The answer is simple; no babies when born are born bad into this world. Babies are most likely the top innocent souls that a person can encounter. People come across the bold line between good and evil and it is their own choice that brings them into life’s maze, whether it is enlighten, enchanted, engrossing or devastating, their choices makes them who they are. Everyone is inherently good, however their environmental background or society’s influence may mould their characters as they grow hence their mind is drawn away from the light of life and their once peaceful life becomes entangled with a series of complicated pathways which becomes a judge in deciding predominant of goodness in them. The predominant of goodness is measured not via historical background, wealth or different degrees of academic quality, but instead it is measured by the actions we deliver along with a compassionate heart without hoping for anything in return.
Another reason why people are inherently good is because no matter how far they go into the roots of evil, there will always be a time when their act of goodness emerge from themselves unknowingly, and when that happens many would become speechless. I believe like how there is a dark side in every person, there would also be a brighter side of them, a side that can make another living soul to look forward for a much cherished day ahead. In much shorter words, without a Dr. Jekyll, there wouldn’t have been a Mr. Hyde at all.
Some unfortunate souls are driven towards negative influences without knowing and as they grow up, they become to believe that doing bad deeds is the good part of life. Girls across the world are forced into prostitution at such a tender age and are brainwashed by their irresponsible caretakers that this profession is a profitable profession that can take them to higher levels, while making a large sum of money. Hence these girls do not develop any sense of guilt of becoming the core behind the scenes of hasty divorces, break-ups and marriages as they think what they are doing is good for themselves. Therefore, like I have said before, people are inherently good, only circumstances prohibits the good values in them while twisting their mind towards evil ways and them see the world in a selfish perspective. In the end, just as how they can’t differentiate diamonds among glasses, they can’t distinguish between a good deed and a bad deed.
