Once upon a morning glory
I laid my eyes on you
You looked away, peering into something else
While it was a non gazing moment, just a split second
Our gazes locked, cheerful bouts of laughter followed
You and I, both master-plans in this mischief
What brought us close to inspirations, peering closer by
Those kids, might have said something else
But we chose to keep mum, keeping our secret knowledge intact
Was it deliberate, a slight intent
Was it the aftermath, or something conspicuous about it
The morning glory, in all its allure
Perhaps does have the answer to everything
The imaginary hue, bees surrounding the nectar
We play around it, blatantly unassuming of our surroundings
You looked at me, slow grin forming, followed by a lazy gaze
Building sandcastles high up the air
Just like other kids, their moments arising
Seeping into our skins, the morning breeze too
Without a doubt, the knowledge is ours
Never thought for a moment, a purpose intent bent on creativity

my vision cobweb-choked,
rank reek of smoke.

It isn't every day that the muse runs wild
"Confess it, to me, my little child"
You know my darkness reigns within
