Icicles in the air rain down to the streets
Where puddles splash with hurried feet,
And the winter’s day is waiting for the sun
To thaw the ice in the rain.
Winter is turning, the birds are calling,
Skies lighten, waking sleepy eyes
From the dark nights that surrounded our days.
And the flowers bloom
Free from frost and winters tune,
Giving nectar to the bees and birds
For spring to lead the seasons high.
Winter is turning, the birds are calling,
Skies lighten, waking sleepy eyes
From the dark nights that surrounded our days.
