Las Vegas casinos preferred by locals

Most people come to Las Vegas for one of two things or both. That is the casinos and the quick and easy way to get married. When it comes to casinos in Las Vegas, the “strip” is considered a favorite place for tourists. But what casinos do locals suggest as being the best casinos in a city filled with them? Many locals will suggest leaving the strip altogether. However, there are even a couple on the “strip” that the locals love as well.

South Point Casino

South Point casino is a favorite hot spot for locals. They have thousands of slots and video poker machines to choose from. They have craps, roulette, 21, poker, and more. South Point has a large Bingo room and good size room for watching sports games. When not hanging out in the casino area, South Point has bowling, movies, shows, amazing restaurants and much more.

Silverton Casino

Silverton Casino has over 90,000 square feet of just casino space. They also have thousands of slot machines and poker machines available. For table games choices, you can choose from blackjack, craps, or roulette. Many locals come to play poker in Silverton’s Poker Lounge. They also have a Keno lounge for you to enjoy. Sports and race betting is popular at Silverton as well. Known for having the best odds in Las Vegas, they also have some amazing comps to take advantage of as well.

Silverton is also known for their huge signature reef aquarium. Shows are scheduled at certain times such as feeding shows and their mermaid shows. They also have a fresh water aquarium at the Pro Bass Shop located within the Silverton. 

Jerry’s Nugget

Although smaller, Jerry’s Nugget is considered a local favorite. They may have less slots, video poker, and video keno but you don’t have to come in with lots of money to have a chance to win big. They have the option ticket or coin games which cost anywhere between $0.01 and $1.00. As far as table games, they have poker, blackjack, and roulette. Not sure how to play? The staff including the pit supervisors is happy to show you how to play like a pro.

Locals love coming to Jerry’s Nugget to place sports and race bets. Locals have said that Jerry’s Nugget has the "Best Pari-Mutuel Race Comp Rewards in the State of Nevada". In fact, at the website they boast that only a $5.00 card can possibly win you thousands of dollars.
