The United States has many places that have left a dark mark in this country’s history. Other places are considered haunted due to heinous crimes that would be seemingly unimaginable to the average citizen. However, to claim a place to be the most haunted place in the United States is generally a matter of opinion. The following places are considered some of the most active haunted locations in the United States by several paranormal investigation groups and ghost hunting groups.

Moon River Brewing Company

The American Institute of Paranormal Psychology named Savannah, GA, as the most haunted city in the United States. Out of all the haunted places in Savannah, Moon River Brewing Company is considered the most haunted place not just in Savannah, but the most haunted place in the United States.

Both patrons and employees have experienced these reports.

Paranormal investigators rarely walk away from an investigation of the Moon River Brewing Co. empty handed. Aside from personal experiences, many capture clear EVPs, pictures of shadowy figures, and more. Paranormal activity doesn’t wait for nightfall. It happens at all hours, day or night.

Gettysburg, PA, is undoubtedly known as the location of the bloodiest battle in the Civil War. In battle that lasted for three days, over 50,000 men died. This isn’t including some of the residents that fell victim to stray gunfire. Aside from the deaths, thousands more were severely wounded.

There is a variety of paranormal phenomena that occurs within the town of Gettysburg. Many people complain about the occasional phantom smells of dead bodies rotting. Others have seen shadow figures and apparitions, including a portion of the battle being replayed. Some people claim to hear audible voices from time to time. Several paranormal investigators have been able to capture clear EVPs or electronic voice phenomena.

Some of the most active spots in Gettysburg include the
