It costs a lot of money to start a business, right? Wrong! These days, you can start a business with little or no start up costs. In this article, I will offer some examples of these types of businesses.
How about selling your photography online? There are various websites that will allow you to sell your photography through them. These sites will also let you have your own gallery page, where you can list your items for sale. Sites such as these, will usually cost you nothing in start up costs. The catch is that sites like these will take a very large portion of your commission. Sometimes as much as ninety percent. So, look at it this way. Sell a million photos and make a million dollars.
What about selling your used goods online? Almost everyone has heard of eBay. It's fairly simple to get started with eBay and there are no start up costs. But there are fees to pay. Insertion fees, final value fees, buy it now fees; etc. But these fees are manageable, and you can even charge a little more for your sale to make up for the fees.
And what about freelance writing? Heck, I'm doing it write now. There are many ways you can do freelance writing online. Some sites will pay you for your articles for as long as the articles and the company exist. Other companies will pay you a one time price for your articles. If you have a website, then writing these articles online can benefit your website as well. By simply adding your link to the article, you've just done some free advertising for your website.
What about using ads on your website? There are many different types of targeted advertising. A popular choice is Google Adsense. Simply create your code and place it on your website. Once a visitor clicks on one of the links in the ad, you'll start making money. However, don't expect to become rich from ads. It is possible to become rich, but most people just earn a few bucks a month. It's all about how popular your website is.
Affiliate programs? There are various ways to implement these into your website. Placing ordinary text links on your website is one way to do it. You simply allow people to click on your affiliate link, and if they purchase a product you make money. Or you could use pictures instead of text links, and they would act in the same manner. Some places, such as Amazon, will even allow you to create your own electronic store, and whenever someone buys an item from your store you make money.
How about becoming a graphic designer? You could build websites, print out business cards and other paraphernalia; etc. Of course, there will be start up costs for this type of business. A domain name and a website will cost you around one hundred and fifty to two hundred dollars annually. But that's still inexpensive compared to how much money you could make. For my first website I made two hundred and fifty dollars, so that single website paid my web hosting bill for the first year.
Creating businesses does not have to be an expensive process. You may not get rich, but if you enjoy it go ahead and build your businesses. You have nothing to lose.
