So full of pain

Holding on too long

but I'm damaged

the suffering
the sadness
the pain

if its all the same

What must I do?
To silence
my sorrow
Will I feel better

Tell me its not true
It was a mistake
falling in love with you

Just as things fell apart
I realized how I felt
The hand I was dealt
was tainted and torn
hurt was born
from the start
of our union
Cruelest communion
of differing hearts
bleeding
open
and
alone
to choke on the bitter tears
of regret.
