Blood pouring from my body
The blade making it's way across my skin
Your hands imprinted upon my throat
Eyes tightly closed
Fists clenching the ground beneath me
Fear escalating to terror
A moment of death avoided
Rescued by a stranger
My unconscious body taken to safety
Innocence lost
Life destroyed
As the blood poured
The bruises have long been gone
Physical scars have healed
What remains is knowing
Is feeling
The blade upon my skin
