I absolutely love Christina Aguilera! I believe she has one of the most amazing voices in history. She could hold her own with any of the greats. Her range is simply electrifying. She has the kind of voice that could make angels cry. Her latest album "Back to Basics" is simply her finest work to date. I like that she took a risk going to back to such an old genre. Her video for "Candyman" entered the VH1 Top Twenty Countdown at number 10 last week and was the No. 1 video on the countdown this week. I am apparently not the only one to really be into this latest album. Just this weekend a friend who is totally into groups like Pantera and Pink Floyd asked if I had seen the new video, and we began to talk about and he actually admitted that he's really liking her new sound. Five years ago she was simply known for her looks and raunch factor. She was pure sex. Today, as she has matured, so has her career; rather than using so much of her sexuality, she is now wowing everyone with incomparable voice. I think she should be given tons of accolades on taking a new direction. Going with the old sound was risky with today's youth market.
