Idle chatter fills the air,
spreading rumors everywhere.
Have you heard? Did you know?
Please tell me that it isn’t so!
Igniting fires, fanning flames,
stretching truth beyond belief,
carelessly naming names,
wreaking havoc, causing grief.
Juicy tidbits tossed about,
in libelous defamation,
unmindful that the cost may be
a ruined reputation.
Motivated by jealousy,
or need for some attention,
but, gossip is a dangerous game,
indeed, not worth a mention.

Fuels the attack

Your sharp tongue inflict
Deep cut on others
Firing your mouth missiles
Killing with spoken words
