My feet walk on the city concrete,
It feels so numb an I can almost sense of defeat,
I hear a shocking sound an I continue to my destination,
They put on the news another one blown away at a gas station,
Many fears of being that girl that lives with no regrets,
With her life she has made a few bets.
Her will to never see a bullet impacted upon her flesh,
But for her that is just something that comes with her life test
Am I better than that 9mm that one day,
one day end the life I have lead an weaved for my future?
I have no regrets with the life I have already made,
Living this life is no glass of lemonade,
Looking death right down to the very bullet in the chamber,
But the ego burns in this young chest like some big amber.
For now my feet will carry me on this lonely concrete,
But no more do I sense defeat
