ARTICLE POETRY: FOOLISH DESIRE
Looking back, it was a foolish desire,
But forgive me, my heart was on fire.
I was foolish enough to imagine
Us together, to the end of time.
My imagination played tricks on me,
Tricks that caused me not to see
You really didn't care
That I waited one long year.
I could not get you off my mind
People say that love is blind
So I blindly waited for you to love me,
Dreamt of you, even gave you my apartment door-key,
You turned out to be a liar
Now I'm trying to kill my foolish desire.

Blistering enraptured passion,
leads in a capturing fashion,
so often to thinking wrongly,
that we are just an untold fool.
It was a bright sunny day and I saw you reading in your car,
You were so engrossed that you hardly knew that I was admiring
