When considering a spring break cruise, the best way to get the lowest price is to book it as far in advance as you can. The longer you wait, the more the prices will increase. Another thing to consider is what type of traveler that you will be, a college student or a non college student.
College students are more into partying and drinking excessively, while those who are not in college are more into relaxing and taking it easy. These two different types of travelers are bound to clash, creating a not so enjoyable vacation for anyone. If you are a non college student, there are a few things to consider when picking a date to go on vacation. Colleges are typically on spring break between March 7th and March 21st, and grade schools are on spring break around the end of March or early in April typically. This will keep the two groups from vacationing together most of the time. If you are looking to avoid both groups, booking your cruise before March 7th and after April15th will be the best times for you to cruise.
Another option that a non college student has to do to avoid the college crowd is to book a cruise for more than five days. College students usually book the three or five night cruises, so if you choose a seven or ten day cruise, there will be none or only a few college students on the cruise. There are also cruise ships that are geared at families with children. For example, Norwegian cruise line features Nickelodeon characters on their ships and special children activities to allow the adults to relax. Disney cruise ships have areas of their ships that only adults can go, there is also a teen section that smaller children are not permitted to enter, and there is a separate area for children under thirteen. There is special age appropriate activities that the children can engage in while the parents are on the adult section of the ship relaxing and having fun.
If you are considering taking a cruise for spring break this upcoming year, remember to book as early as you can so that you can get the lowest price. Also, keep the ideal dates in mind depending on which type of traveler you will be so that you will be able to enjoy your cruise. Have a nice spring break!
