Constitution, previously referred to as Hitpoints, makes up the life energy of a character in Runescape. The higher the Constitution level, the longer a player is able to survive attacks from foes, thus making Constitution essential for any good account. Of course, there are a few drawbacks when training this skill. When training using Melee, Range, or Magic, the Constitution experience is calculated by dividing the hit by ten and then multiplying that number by 1.33. This means that constitution is three times as slow to train compared to any of the other combat skills. Usually, 99 Constitution is only achieved after a player has also raised their Attack, Strength, and Defence levels to 99. There are however a few loopholes for those who want a rare untrimmed Constitution skill cape.

With the introduction of Soul Wars to Runescape many new account types could be created. For example, “pure” accounts with level 1 Attack and 99 Strength were no longer held as impossible to create. This extremely large imbalance between levels is due to the mechanics that govern Soul Wars. At the end of each victorious Soul Wars game, the winning team receives three zeal points. These zeal points can then be traded in for experience. The experience points rewarded to the player depends on the level of the skill the player wishes to use the experience on. For example, if a player with level 50 Strength receives three zeal points and decides to spend this zeal on Strength, the player may be rewarded with one thousand experience per zeal point. On the other hand, if the same exact scenario occurs with the only difference being the players’ Strength level, level 90 in this case, the player maybe rewarded with around five thousand experience points. Because of these zeal points, Constitution levels can be achieved at the same speed given when training other Melee skills.

While at high levels Soul Wars is an effective method to train Constitution, there is another option available for those with a large amount of gold. This method relies on partial completion of the Monkey Madness quest along with void armor which will greatly increase the amount of experience gained per hour. Finally, at least level 85 Range, and level 43 prayer are both necessary in order to effectively train Constitution. To start, invest in a few thousand red chinchompas, a few hundred prayer potions, and around 50 ranging potions. Red Chinchompas are volatile creatures that when thrown, damage
