How to make your hair grow faster

Many women go to extreme measures to try to get long locks in a short period of time.  It can be frustrating to try to grow out a short hair style, especially as age creeps in and hair does not seem to grow as quickly as it used to.  Although there are plenty of myths about how to make hair grow faster, the truth is that simply taking proper care of your hair and giving it the attention it needs will yield the best results.  There are a few tricks and healthy habits that should be followed during the growing stages.

The first thing to remember when trying to grow you hair out is that it needs to be nourished.  Some of the ways you can nourish your hair on a daily basis are by using deep conditioners, moisturizing hair masks, and hot oil treatments.  All of these measures will improve the health of your hair, which will lead to better growth and less breakage.  Make sure to keep your hair well moisturized at all times.

Another way to get faster results in hair growth is to take a multi-vitamin every day.  Taking vitamins will improve your overall health, and ultimately, the health of your hair.  Did you ever notice that pregnant women seem to grow long hair very quickly?  This is partially due to the pre-natal vitamins that expecting women take during the 9 months of pregnancy.  A daily multi-vitamin, along with a healthy diet, will really amp up your results.

Once your hair begins to grow longer, make sure to pull it back into a braid, bun, or pony tail at night before you go to bed.  This helps reduce breakage and other damage that is cause by tossing and turning your head during sleep.  Always protect the hair from other harsh elements such as the sun and chlorine as well.

Nurture you hair and treat it gently.  Shampoo your hair every 2-3 days, as shampoos contain harsh chemicals that can dry out and damage your hair.  Go easy on the brushing, too.  Although brushing your hair from the roots can stimulate the scalp and increase blood flow to the area, brushing the ends of your hair can cause breakage.  Try massaging your scalp with your fingers instead.

So, forget the fads, just follow these simple steps to help ensure that your hair grows long and strong, to its full potential in no time.
