I am a poet, a writer of words meant to be read,
I write about the living and I write about the dead.
I scrawl words on paper napkins at a sidewalk cafe
descriptive, colorful words as people walk my way.
I write on a matchbook, or the back of a reciept.
I think I even write on my mind while my body is asleep.
Words, phrases come quickly to my thoughts all the time
they come with out coaching and most times they ryhme.
I am a poet, unheard of without fortune or fame,
hoping that some day someone will recognize my name.
