Working professionals have so many skills to offer and when the need arises for some extra cash quick action can be taken to find some great part time jobs. Professionals don't have time to endlessly search the Internet looking for legitimate on-line work, they need it now. Luckily legitimate part time tele-commute and work from home opportunities do exist in a variety of positions, and many opportunities are global ones. Here are options I have found.
Teach a Class and Tutor
Most on-line schools offering adult courses do require you to have a degree at the Bachelors level or higher. Universalclass offers hundreds of short term continuing education certificate courses, geared towards personal interest, hobbies and professional development. New Instructors are always welcome and this site offers Instructor assistance in developing courses and marketing them for web consumers. Instructors make money when someone purchases a course and the completion certificates.
Several options exist for legitimate on-line tutoring. Both Tutor and Idapted offer professionals the opportunity to make some extra money tutoring high school students experiencing challenges in their studies. Tutor allows professionals to work on a 24/7 basis doing live scheduled tutoring sessions on a variety of subjects directly through the site. Idapted is geared specifically towards students looking to practice their English language skills and a training and certification process is available to successful applicants, who can then set their own tutoring hours.
Freelance writing and Copy Editing
A number of revenue generating sites exist for writers looking to make a little extra money through page hits. When professionals need a part time job their exist a number of freelance bidding sites where professionals can upload their resume, outline their professional skills and then bid on submitted projects. Many professionals needing a little extra cash register with several sites to avoid the down times of no work.
Translation
Language skills are in high demand for translating business correspondence and web copy. Many of the freelance writing sites also offer translation work, and some specialized companies like etranslators are always looking to hire web translators.
Transcription
Professionals with existing transcription skills can find a number of jobs available through specialty websites like Quicktate Transcribers and Calligraph Biz Jobs. Transcription sites pay by the word and operate on a 24/7 basis and pay at various times of the month.
Consultants
Consultants are fast being referred to as paid by the minute experts in the Internet world. Several sites offer 24/7 opportunities for working professionals to give advice and answer detailed business, legal, pet and personal situations. Several of these sites allow experts to submit their credentials and then set their own rates, or allow them to bid on submitted questions. Sites such as JustAnswer, Keen, and LivePerson offer such opportunities.
Conclusion
Many opportunities exist on-line for qualified professionals to work in their field and pick up some extra cash. Projects may be short term and on-going and with the trend of telecommuting and setting your own rates of pay along with your hours many professionals find these jobs easy to work into existing schedules.
