Is it enough to want love, to be loved?
Desiring, craving, wanting, needing. Hope
Springs eternal. We all want to be loved.
Without love, all that’s left for us is hope
In a world where love is all conquering
For those who have found that happy ending
Bathed in the afterglow of perfect coupling
To others their smugness is never ending.
For some true love surely never comes
Their lives destined to be spent all alone
The course of love and life never smoothly runs
The nights spent waiting for the ring of the phone
I once had love but now it’s dead and gone
But I still believe another love shall come
