Dating sites have a variety of men to choose from. Women search profiles and pictures and search for the perfect match. Some profiles are long and some profiles are short winded. Whether you find someone in real life you would like to date or whether you find them online there are a few things to keep in mind to not come across as desperate.

Once the communication starts between two people it is amazing how the initial attraction can come to a screaming halt. The man you thought was confident, stable and secure about who he is all of a sudden takes a 180 degree turn.

Whether it is in real life or online dating men need to learn how to relax a little. Instead of bombarding your potential date with messages, texts, phone calls or emails, let them come to you. Give a little bit of space to make them want to know more about you. Smothering someone right off the bat is only bound to back fire on you. Although you may be thinking if you show her you really like her? It is a turn off especially in the dating phase to come across as smothering.

This tip is very important. Keep the stories of your ex and how she hurt you in a locked suitcase. There is no room for this when you are dating. The feel sorry for me stories do not make men attractive. On the contrary, it makes men look like they are desperate for a therapist. To help them overcome the bruises that remain in their hearts from a burnt past relationship. If someone is interested in dating a man they do not want to hear all about your past hurts. This is a new chapter and men need to close the old book of tales.

Begging…Yes men can come across like they are begging. Please see, please date me. I will never find another woman like you, just please give me a chance. Ok, this may be flattering on a small level of the scale but women get tired of this really fast. Let it be known you would like to date her but leave it at that. Leave the choice up to her. Begging only makes a man look desperate.

Sexual needs. Continually talking about your sexual needs as a man is a huge turn off to potential dates as well. There are some men that emphasize the point that they have not gotten any for a long time. They need it, they miss it and all they crave is to touch someone again. This makes women want to run unless of course the woman is feeling the same way and a booty call is what you are both looking for. Take a chill pill and put the sexual I need to the side for now until your relationship is established.

I knew one person that had a date with a man she was very attracted to. They went for a drink in a small pub. Within five minutes the man was breaking a sweat and acting very uncomfortable. She asked, what is wrong? His response to her was, you are so beautiful and men are looking at you, I can not handle this. He insisted they left so he could have her all to himself. This was major insecurity. Needless to say after this date she never wanted to see him again.

Confidence is attractive. Stability is attractive and sanity is very important. These are the basics women are attracted to.

Men need to stay relaxed and not be desperate for dating. Desperation shows easily and will end up an obstacle in the dating game.
