The influence of YouTube on society

YouTube was founded on February of 2005, and sometime later, many users got hooked, with Google eventually buying them up. Whether you made your own stupid or exciting videos, or to make a account so you can criticize those stupid movies that wasted a couple of minutes of your precious time. YouTube's bandwidth and unique visits just keep on coming, from old news broadcasts for those who missed the good ole' days, to even finding your favorite music videos. For example, do you remember World's Wildest Police Chases? You don't have to wait to catch that show on SpikeTV or other stations that play that show, instead, you could find some of those extreme car chases on YouTube. Whether it's related to the show or not.

YouTube can be different alternative to when you have about a thousand digital TV channels your cable TV has to offer, yet, nothing happens to be on. If you are a fan of Howard Stern pranks (a prank call by a Howard Stern staff member on a live TV show, involving a scenario with Howard Stern's names or action in it), they're quite a few users out there with videos up with many too many videos of our hard-working newsmen and women being a victim to a Howard Stern-related prank. My personal favorite is the one involving the San Diego fires back in 2003.

But besides Howard Stern pranks, YouTube is pretty much the first well-known web site to allow people to produce their little movies and have the whole world to come on by to take a look. If not they're own, there are users who (as previous mentioned) put up old news broadcasts of a particular city.

Also, YouTube is a place to learn. For those who prefer to learn how to put spark plugs in a engine of your automobile in a visual view opposed to reading a book, you could find many videos showing you how to properly input spark plugs and wires into the engine. If you want to learn more about car care for the beginners speak, the options are limitless.

There are quite a few tings you can learn on YouTube. I myself had found some exercise techniques that are quite helpful. Most of these videos are well-produced with the present doing a good job showing other ways to get better abs. However, I have see a few videos with poor presentation and with the person claiming to be a guru who doesn't seem to know what he or she is talking about, or otherwise talks too fast, faster than me. So, it goes to show that even an idiot can put up his stupid little movie up on YouTube, even if he thinks he knows something about making Ramen Noodles.

If you have an interest in learning something on YouTube, you'll likely will find it nowadays.

But most YouTube users don't go on to visit what PBS has to offer and to see a detailed report about a conflict going on in a west African country that has not gained serious interest from CNN or Fox News. Most people see YouTube as entertainment. They want to see a new episode from Fred, Charles Trippy, The Young Turks, Justin Bieber, LisaNova, Buns and Chou Chou, Tay Zonday's Chocolate Rain, and my personal favorite The Angry Video Game Nerd.

YouTube has offered a average nobody with some creativity in mind, to go somewhere with their videos, and making a second income from the little advertising commission while working their day jobs. Quite a few had gone all the way, one in particular is Justin Bieber.

In today's society, you mention YouTube, a good majority of people know what you are talking about. Some people love YouTube while others just don't understand how others could watch those idiotic movies the site has to offer.

It can be a good boredom buster when while there is nothing on your thousand channels of cable has to offer. The world of viral vids is waiting for you. Happy YouTubing.
