TIME TO PAY THE PIPER -
As ye sow, so shall you reap
An oft heard profound expression
Meaning in much simpler terms
You’ll pay for every transgression
Harvest time will come for all
The fruits of ill-will, you will reap
Weeds will grow from those seeds you plant
And reveal the secrets you keep
There’s no escape from penitence
Though it may seem you won the race
Adverse acts and criminal behavior
Will eventually bring you disgrace
Stratagems and furtive motives
Will lead you straight to Hell
Hatred of your fellow man
Will take you there as well
Staying on the righteous path
Will maximize your chances
Of entering into Heaven’s gate
And dodging Satan’s lances
Sanctity walks a very thin line
Sin is often the sniper
No matter the span of years it takes
Comes time to pay the piper

A gift, sent forth from Satan
some stare with greedy eyes,
a tempting, glittering jewelry box,
of death, destruction,
