I saw his eyes glisten with the shine of new life.
As he stared at me with wonder.
The sound of his heartbeat pounding hard.
Caught my own heart off guard.
What gift was this?
That God so blessed me with?
The love I'd never known.
Quickly the seed planted within a second had blossomed, full grown.
How could I have not seen it coming?
This feeling of such overwhelming joy.
As my heart wondered in awe.
My soul already knew, its eyes had already saw.
Something unexplainable,
that had come in God's perfect timing.
As I stared into a face I'd never seen before,
yet it was so familiar, the features so well he wore.
And I couldn't help but smile
so thrilled to have this hand picked gift.
Blessed by God Himself, sent to me,
full of promise, but with no lack of sweat equity.
But I wasn't afraid of the challenge,
I knew I would be rewarded time and time again.
Not only would this investment grow,
it would flourish with love, and with Godly seeds I'd try to sow.
A gift made of two hands two feet,
two eyes, a mouth and a sweet little nose.
One little heart that would always be mine,
my blessed baby, my living valentine.

Poetry: Be mine

Be mine
As I said, the red wine wouldn't taste the same
Nor does these avid eyes, who lurk to look again
Be mine
by Ted Onulak
Be mine
And I will find a way
To deceive unblinking time
Stealing softly past
Its watchful eye,
And unlock eternal bliss
Be mine
Would you be mine if I asked?
My love for you can not be surpassed
I want you for my very own
I don’t want to live
In the old orphan house
at the end of the lane
they're collected together
again and again,
Unfortunate souls
full of heartache
by Moeze Lalji
Be mine
I can't deny
The words of
My eyes
The world
Has many guys
Around you
My request is
Only what
My heart speaks
I can't punch
