Dealing with stress without medication

Medication can be a good temporary solution in trauma situations where one can develop anxiety or panic attacks. So called "normal" every day stress too often
goes ignored as something natural and acceptable. Yet, must of us either know someone or have ourselves been on anti-depressants or anti-anxiety medications.

A few things that are helpful to remove stress and improve living conditions


range from yoga to herbal remedies, changing surroundings and breathing techniques.

Lets take a look at a few different tools to make you feel better.

Exercises. It raises your endorphins which contributes to your overall feelings of well-being especially increasing your mood.

Swimming, yoga, fast paced walks are all good and can be done by most humans. Combined with spending time outdoors in nature it further increases the feelings of well-being.

Creativity is a big stress reliever. Paint, write, knit, dance, sing. Find a hobby that will improve your ability to relieve the stress.

Remember to always take time for yourself. Breathe. Learn how to meditate. Get some relaxation/guided meditation cd's.

A few helpful herbal remedies for stress is vitamin B, fish liver oil, Tryptopan, St John's Worth. Avoid alcoholic beverage, cigarettes and keep regular eating and sleeping habits.

Find supportive friends. Look up serene and calming places and people.
Allow yourself to take time to pamper yourself and to laugh. Live a life you
choose and the stress will not be able to sustain itself within you.

It sounds like easy, common advice. They are, but surprisingly few people apply them. Stress is the biggest contributing factor to disease, it is time to start
feeling better and enjoy life.
