We have fallen into the "old routine" again
I know you can feel it, too
My womanly qualities have diminished
As I now feel like "just a friend" to you
We sometimes go days or weeks
Without a simple hug or kiss
Does this feel normal to you?
These are the little things I miss
Every night I feel so alone
Even when you are lying next to me
Each of us are in our own world
Perhaps in our own fantasies
My heart still quickens when you come home
Hoping maybe something has changed
But as you pass right by me without even a glance
I know things are still the same
Why do we say "I love you"
When we leave each other or hang up the phone?
Shouldn't it be "I am comfortable with you"
Because this is what lies under your tone
We are merely coworkers now
Working to raise our little girl
Working to keep food on our table
Working to give her the perfect world
I don't want it to be like this!
This isn't what I signed up for
I want a husband, a friend, a lover
I want things like they were before!
I want to smile when I think of you
I want you to do the same
I want you to tell me I am beautiful
I want you to kiss me "that way"
I don't want to be in this routine anymore
I want things to be exciting and new
I want to feel sparks fly again
I want to experience these things with you
Until I have the courage
I will keep these things to me
I will scream in silence
And fall back into our old routine

We have fallen into the "old routine" again
I know you can feel it, too
My womanly qualities have diminished
As I now feel
by Scott Scherr
Two souls entwined
A tangled mess.
Wound up so tight
Insane with bliss.
A cord so strong
Became a noose.
Until we traded
Illusion for
I see your face,
You call my name,
All my senses,
Go insane.
A passionate kiss,
Your scent provokes,
A gasp, a sigh,
Love uncloaks.
Love and marriage, an approach
Drawn close by belief and trust
In a new beginning bond as one
To share life's entirety together.
by Moeze Lalji
One thought says
Marriage must
Have love
To stay together
Yet the love
We talk about
Is not as defined
By the media
The love of
Normal
